make client report writing less of a chore…

Making It Personal

… editable templates to help you save time, whilst writing reports and training plans that your clients will actually want to look at!

urgh.. report writing

Spending hours writing reports and training plans is not what you signed up for!

You’ve tried task batching, time blocking and good old copying and pasting but, no matter what you do, each one still takes ages and ends up looking a bit ‘meh’ when you finally finish it. You’re not 100% sure whether your clients even bother to read them anyway, so what’s the point?

Unable to face the stack of un-written reports, a quick scroll on social media becomes far more tempting, leaving you spending your much-needed day off catching up instead. It’s relentless. I’ve been there.

So, how about I show you how to make writing client reports and training plans a whole lot easier… and, dare I say, even a bit more fun?!

Hello there!

I’m Gretta - a Clinical Animal Behaviourist + Dog Trainer, turned business nerd

I know that your time is precious… and very limited. For every hour spent at your desk, that’s time that you could have been doing something to move your business forward, enjoying time with your family (furry, feathery or otherwise) or just taking a break with some well-deserved ‘me time’.

Client reports and training plans are massive time-suck for many trainers and behaviourists. When I first started out, I kept thinking ‘there must be a better way’.

Not only that but I wished that someone would show me how they structured and organised theirs so that I could stop second-guessing myself every time I sat down to write one.

Well, after honing my skills (and striving for efficiency!) over a decade of report-writing, I’ve decided to share what I wish I’d had from the start - a template that makes the whole thing so much easier… in the hope of saving your sanity!

Creating a behaviour plan template had been on my to-do list for ages but now I’ve done it, in remarkably little time, thanks to your template. I’m so glad I purchased this!

An amazing resource and at such a reasonable price! It was worth the investment just as a Canva tutorial alone - it's given me so many new skills! Can't wait to get started on personalising my own template. Thank you, Gretta!

This is a great fit for you if…

you’re an ethical dog trainer or animal behaviourist and you regularly write reports/ plans for clients

you’d like to save time (ie. not start from scratch every time!) by using a template that you can make your own

you’d like to create reports and training plans that feel aligned with your brand and that makes clients feel special

you’re new to writing these kind of plans and you would like some guidance on what to include and how to structure it

This is not for you if…

you’re not an ethical dog trainer/ animal behaviourist or you don’t need to write client reports/ training plans

you don’t care what things look like and aren’t really interested in brand consistency

you already have a template that you like and that’s working really well for you and your clients

you’ve been doing the job for years but think these might blow your mind (I’d hate to over-promise and under-deliver)

I’m really enjoying using this. I found it really helpful to look at a training plan template to judge how useful mine currently is and where I can make improvements!

Questions?

Feel free to get in touch. In the meantime, these FAQs may help…

  • This resource mainly focuses on the ‘sustainability’ pillar (because it saves you time). However, it also touches on the ‘irresistibility’ pillar because clients love them!

    • Fully editable 16 page Client Report/ Training Plan template with prompts and guidance (available for Canva , Google Docs and MS Word )

    • Fully editable 'Vet Report' template (Canva, Google Docs + MS Word)

    • Fully editable Client Training Tracker template (Canva, Google Docs + MS Word)

    • Video guides to lead you through every step of customising the templates to suit you (images, text, colours, fonts) in each format - perfect if you're new to Canva!

    • Time-saving tips, to save you from 're-inventing the wheel' for every client.

    • PDF versions of each template for reference/ ideas in case you'd prefer to create your own version.

  • Yes, you can tailor it to suit whatever species you work with.

  • Once you go through the secure checkout, you will be emailed an invoice and your log in information (2 separate emails). Simply follow the instructions to access your purchase. It’s very easy!

  • No… neither!

A free Canva account is absolutely fine - you don’t need anything more to be able to access, use, edit and save the templates.

You can choose not to use Canva at all if you like - MS Word and Google Docs versions are provided (but the Canva version looks a teeny bit different because of its design functionality).

  • You can use the templates for whatever you like in your business (as long as you don’t share them with other pros - they need to by them themselves!).

However, the templates have not been designed to ‘tick every possible box’ and they are not approved for any coursework/ assessment purposes - they’re simply what I use myself.

So, feel free to use them for your coursework/ assessments but I would strongly advise you to look at the assessment criteria to make sure that you’ve covered everything they’re looking for instead of simply relying on this!

  • Auto-generated closed captions are available on the videos but because the videos are in the form of an over-the-shoulder walkthrough then, unfortunately, a transcript wouldn’t make much sense by itself.

  • You’ll be able to access this course for as long as I keep this item available for sale. If it is ever withdrawn, you would be given a minimum of 1 month’s notice, to allow you to download what you need.

  • Unfortunately, due to the digital nature of this product, refunds are not available. However, if you have any questions, please get in touch.

  • Yes, of course. You can either send a message via the chat button in the bottom left hand corner or head to the contact page and can get in touch that way.

I look forward to hearing from you!

I loved your clear explanation of how to really personalise the template and how easy it actually is to do.
